First off, Happy New Year to all of our friends and family! We hope this finds you well:) Sean and I had a wonderful Christmas here in NY - our first one away from home, on our own. While we definitely missed our families, we tried to carry on some of our traditions and resigned to sharing the day through video chatting and many phone calls. We also hosted a wonderful Christmas for all of us in NY who were unable to make it home. Amy from Boston came to visit and Allison and Morgan came to share the big day with us. We were so blessed to be surrounded by such friends at this time of the year.
Following Christmas, my parents arrived (by van)! Yes, they drove all of the way here from MO and delivered a beautiful china cabinet they found and fixed up, and the rest of our wedding stuff. The best part of the next few days was sharing it with them….
We fought the crowds a couple of times as we watched Young Frankenstein, traveled down 5th Ave past the plaza hotel and rockifeller, took the Staten Island Ferry and ate dinner at the Cafe Un, Deux Trois where we went on our trip to NY when I was 5 yrs old. Otherwise, we enjoyed sharing time in our apt., catching up, having a belated Christmas and making/eating delicious food! New Year’s Eve was a blast, cheering the Jayhawks on to their win at the Back Page, and then returning home to watch the ball drop from the TV - an event we unanimously agreed to watch rather than attend in the freezing cold!:) Alas, the holidays always do fly by, but while they were here, they were wonderful! We hope the same goes for you and encourage you to check out our wonderful pictures from these events in the photo gallery (once I figure out how to add albums:) Ha. Best wishes from NY and take care!

We are starting a list of emails for anyone who would like to receive occasional updates on everything from wedding photos being posted to life in the big city. We’re hoping to send them out about once a month (that’s fairly ambitious for us:) and you can always remove yourself at any time if you change your mind. Because we host it, there is no third party involved therefore, no spam!
All you have to do is enter your email address in the box to the right side of the page “Get updates from us!”. It is directly below the contact information. After you have submitted this you will receive a confirmation email and then be added to the list! We hope you all will take advantage of this as another way to try and stay in touch whether you’re a train stop away, or halfway across the country! Hope to hear from you soon!!

Yes, somehow it is already mid September and the big day is quickly approaching! Every Wednesday Sean gets to walk through an amazing farmers market on his way to work and the night before our “one month until” mark, he surprised me with these beautiful, fresh sunflowers:) Just wanted to share them with everyone and let you know how excited we both are to see you in less than a month!!! Fell free to contact us if you have any questions and we’ll see you soon!
Love,
Meggi and Sean:)

The little weekend trip we planned to Freeport, Maine has led to a lot more planning to come! Sean proposed at Casco Bay in Wolf’s Neck State Park on February 29 (Leap Day). It was the most incredible weekend ever filled with snowshoeing in Bradberry Mountain State Park, two $150 dinners for $75 total, swimming while watching it snow outside, and a journey through four Northeastern states including a stop at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts! We’re so excited to share this with all of you and are thinking the big day will be sometime in October of 2008. We’ll keep you posted as plans are made. We have set up a special site for information, photos, and more at www.seanandmeggi.com! We’re looking forward to what the next seven moths will bring and hope you enjoy the photos from this weekend!
