I’m not exactly a dooms day theorist, but with the current state of the economy, and credit in this country, the idea is starting to catch on. Truth be told, I don’t have a lot of money in the bank - or anywhere at the moment - so I’m not as worried as say someone with millions in the market. However, I am more worried about this whole credit crunch than I am about the Dow dropping 700+ points. Without credit, the world will practically come to a stand still. No more car loans, home loans, lines of credit… no credit period. While I’m not looking for a loan at them moment, I know in several years a car and a home may be the big ticket items we are looking to invest in. But if there the credit isn’t there, there won’t be a home or a car to drool over. I do believe things will continue to get worse before they get better - the market will turn around - but when this all happens I’ll leave to the economists.
