I had the craziest interview with HHC Marketing (Broadway marketing and promotions firm) yesterday.

One of the questions the interviewer asked me was “Ok, so there is a hypothetical irish play, not musical who needs marketing. Where would you market it and how would you market it?” (more…)

…A KID POOPING ON THE SIDEWALK! Yeah, I know! I was walking through China Town, and there was a mom and her son (mabye 3 or 4) and he was squatting by the curb, this his pants around his ankles and a small stream running toward the curb. I only assume that since it was a boy, and he was squatting, he was probably doin` number 2, too…. Why!? Geeze, its not like the kid couldn’t hold it for 2 min while his mother asked a store owner, “Can my son use your bathroom… otherwise he’s going to leave you a little gift on your sidewalk!” Come on now… I know its New York, but I don’t even see homeless people doing on the sidewalk. They at least do it in the subway! I only wish I had a picture, so I could share it with you too!

Till next time,
S

The new Phantom, Ramin Karimloo, playing in London’s The Phantom of the Opera is keeping a diary of the cast’s rehearsal process and performances. He also says he is going to try to post some pictures as well. For anyone who is crazy about Phantom (like me =)), this is a great way to get the insights into the ins and outs of The Phantom of the Opera. Access Ramin’s blog by going to www.phantomoftheopera.com and clicking on “News and Reviews”. Enjoy!

Hairy SeanI went eight weeks without a hair cut. This is what I looked like. I’m calling myself, “Hairy Sean.” You’ll see a post or two in coming days with photos of “Hairy Sean,” so make note. “Hairy Sean” also goes by the alias “Wolfy” or “Chewbaka…” (ok not so much the latter, but it’s still funny.) Check out the video, its short and cute. Thanks to Meggi I was able to save the $25 or $30 it would have cost me to get a New York hair cut.

Needless to say, I’m much less hair, and much happier now! It was SOOO annoying long, I have no idea how I dealt with it for 17 years long. Yes, longer than this photo. Thankfully, no one who has the photos of (super) hair Sean, has the privileges to post them here…. so I’m safe for now.

Enjoy!

We all marked today as the sixth year since Sept. 11. We all remember the day well, and will continue to for many years to come. While many of these thoughts, and memories, and images will remain, it’s the day and the events of today, Sept. 11, 2007 that will start to return to normal. (more…)

For all those Rent-heads out there (wait, just me? ok, whatever. I wanted to post this anyway):

Adam Pascal, the original Roger in both the Broadway show and the movie, and Anthony Rapp, the original Mark in both the Broadway show and the movie, are reprising their roles on Broadway until October 7. Not sure if tickets are still available, but it might be worthwhile to check as these guys are freakin’ awesome! Also on the Broadway run of Rent is Tamyra Gray from American Idol, who is also probably very worth seeing in action!

Let’s take Allison’s post to the next level. If we find or hear something noteable we think you’ll get a laugh out of, check it out here! Word for Word is the place to find quotes, writings, speakings… and other audible and readable stuff.

I found this written on (vandalizing an) ad at a subway stop on 49th (word for word):
“It’s hard to tell someone you love them especially when you’re sure that love is finite like when you see a weed growing between the cement blocks of sidewalk and just feel sorry because it will never grow.”
